There is a brutal transience in our fragile surroundings. Time passes, things fade. This series captures the shadow, its impermanence. A combination of silver and Shibuichi cages draw themselves around translucent silicone forms. Wax coatings form layers of more transient strength, for now robust, but ultimately ephemeral. Shadows fall away from the wire frames adding to the lingering ephemerality, building up layers of fragility, gradually dissipating into a provocative absence.
Forgotten shadows has been selected for Talente 2015.
